Garry did a wonderful job fixing our bathroom sink & exhaust fan. He has great attention to details as he noticed other parts that required maintenance. I felt as if he listened & cared for our maintenance needs upon arrival.
Two years living here:
All in all, a great location (quiet surroundings, accessible to freeway, great stores nearby). Nice landscaping.
Friendly staff and “can do” attitude with service requests. Timely repairs.
User friendly amenities/online hubs.
My wife and I really enjoy living at Ridgewood Village. Great Management Team and the community is very well maintained. Always clean and safe for families to live. I recommend to anyone who enjoys a good family place to live.
We used to think it was a five star complex but the company (Equity) played us dirty when it comes to rent renewal. We were paying 3,057 for 2 bed through out the year. Just to mention mid year prices even fell to 2,800 at one point. Renewal time came this month and they raised renewal to 3,367, the max 10% allowed. On their website at the time the most expensive apartment was 3,250 and they had multiple cheaper apartments. So we said no way and managed to get it down to 3,200 and they gave us 24 hours only to sign that offer. Two days after we check the website and prices have fallen even more, 2,900 is cheapest and 3,070 is the most expensive. This is all for the same units. Really just left a bad taste in our mouth, why treat current residents like that. Don’t you want to retain customers? We liked the complex so much we thought we’d stay here for another couple of years but now we know what’s coming our way next year and will be ready to look for other options come rent renewal.
Chris the maintenance guy is amazing. Everytime we have any appliance or maintenance issue, he ALWAYS gets it done in a timely manner. The staff here is also kind and amazing.
My only issue is the rent increase year over year has been near 10%. If my savings gave that kind of yield, I'd be a millionaire in 10 years.
For context rent in 2021 was 2154$. I've been through 3 renewals and it's now 3100$.
Mold is everywhere.
When signing the lease, be prepared for them to raise the price by $300 next year, but on the website, the price for new tenants will remain the same as your current rate. Get ready for the move-in inspection; make sure to note every minor scratch, dirt, and malfunction, as they will deduct it from you upon move-out. Be very attentive and meticulous because they will be too during move-out. Even when I moved into an unpainted apartment, they charged me as if I had to repaint the entire building, even though there were cobwebs and slightly dirty walls at the time of move-in (also mention this). They also claimed the apartment was dirty because there was some dust outside the front door and leaves from trees outside got under the door - they blamed me for this. Dust on the open patio was also noted as making the apartment dirty. So be very prepared and demanding during the inspection
Great place, but there's only one issue, someone stole my motorcycle right from my parking spot. My parking spot is literally right next to the leasing office. Not sure who would have the guts to do something like that. It's a secluded neighborhood so it must've been someone who's been to the apartments or knows them, like other tenants/Uber/ Doordash/ construction workers. If you have a motorcycle, I'd get a big chain and big lock for it.
Edit Update:
I talked to various tenants and a few said they had items go missing from their patios and another tenant said he literally had his motorcycle stolen back in May this year (2023). His motorcycle was parked in the carport literally right behind mine. They could have stolen both our motorcycles but they only took his. He said he had a huge chain on it and that they still took it. And not a single email was received from the leasing office telling us to vigilant or anything. They could have let us know, but they didn't. As for the random items in the patio that have gone missing, the leasing office didn't send out an email for that either. And since the leasing office doesn't have any cameras, the criminals get away free. If you're thinking about living here, I recommend it only if you get a second floor apartment and don't have a motorcycle.
